What a day it has been a beautiful day. Oh, the weather was not that great in San Diego but I listened to one of my favorite Pastor teachers; Dr David Jeremiah from Shadow Mountain Community Churh
ch in San Diego. The message was great talking about what might we do if Jesus was coming back in 7 days. And he talked today about forgiveness and how important it is in our lives as Christians. I spent a little time this afternoon to get some things together to start my ride tomorrow morning and spent much of the rest of the day to rest. I am ready. I am excited. I just want to get going.  I plan on spending some time in prayer tonight and that is the last thing I need to do to be ready. There are some who have started to donate for the trip in which all will go toward the purchase of a fishing lodge in Canada to be used as a camp for youth groups and inner-city kids as well as men's group and family ministries. Let me invite you to look at the NLM website for more information at northernlightministries.org
Please follow my trip across the country and I would love to hear from you. Please keep in touch.
One of my favorite portions of Scripture has always been Matthew 9:35 - 38. Verse 36 says, "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." I am sure on my trip I will talk to many who are in that condition. We don't have to look too far to find people who are hurting and at times hopeless. I hope to point them to the one who can heal any sickness or problem and to help them realize there is a shepherd who so loves them and cares for them. I will keep you posted about some of my conversations. I start tomorrow ----- come along. I will love to have you!!

  1. This passage reminds me that Jesus gave to those who had nothing to give in return.
